Troy is a proud alum of Valley Christian Junior High (’03) and even married a fellow alum, Kimberly (Meehan, ’05) in 2008. Troy earned his Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies degree from Arizona State University in 2009, then went on to complete his Master of Business Administration from ASU in 2012.

Troy was born and grew up near McHenry, Illinois before moving to Arizona and attending Redeemer Christian School and VCJH. Troy’s done a little bit of everything professionally, including working in retail sales (wireless), travel and hospitality management (Norwegian Cruise Line), fitness (Mountainside Fitness), broadcast production (Arizona Sports 98.7 FM), financial services management (Target), residential solar and lead generation management (Verengo Solar), substitute teaching (VCJH), and more. He also spent time working as the Worship Arts Director where he and Kim currently attend church (Palm Lane CRC).

When he’s away from Valley’s campus, Troy enjoys playing basketball, football, or softball, playing acoustic guitar, traveling (cruising is his preference), and spending time with his wife, son Levi, and daughter Hayley. He joined Valley’s staff in 2013, and is looking forward to making a life-long difference in the lives of Valley students.

Troy believes that true education must include that which is most important in our lives, a deep-rooted understanding of the true story of the whole world, from Creation to man’s rejection of God and embracing of self to God’s redeeming and restoring His people. He believes that there is no separation of one’s “spiritual” and “secular” life, but that all aspects of our lives should be founded and driven by the Gospel.
